Accessibility

This website aims to fully comply with all disability guidelines to ensure ease of access to the website and its content. As the site designer, owner and maintainer I want as many people as possible to enjoy the experience that this online resource offers and I hope it offers appeal to a wide ranging audience. The site has been extensively tested with all validation tools that I am aware of including W3C HTML Markup Validator, W3C CSS Validator and both of Cythia's disability access tests.

Accessibility on this Site

The standard font used throughout the site is Verdana with other sans-serif fonts as fall back for easy legibility, especially when increased in size using browser tools.

Wherever possible, text instead of graphics is utilised so that control is maintained by the user, whatever access resource is being used.

All images have an alternative text attribute. Layout images are labelled as such so that there is no confusion.

The style of navigation remains consistent through the website with two menu systems offered, at the top of the page and down the right hand side of the page as well. These do not differ from page to page to, again, ensure no confusion.

Text Size

Many users of this resource may find it highly beneficial to increase the text size on this site so that easier reading of text is ensured. This can be done with any modern browser by selecting the increase text size options from the browser menu. Usually supported also is the scrollwheel zoom if you have a mouse with a scrollwheel. Simply hold down the left "CTRL" key and then scroll your mouse up or down to zoom in or out respectively.
